Im getting a blackberry bold 9700 in a week from today...?

AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO GET!!! So i want the black cuz its a blackberry, but the white looks really nice too, like my friend has it and she loves it. I heard the white doesnt get soooo dirty as you think, in fact ive heard that the black one gets dirtier cuz you can see the finger prints. WHICH ONE AND WHY??? I want to be unique and get a white, but i liked the black one first and everybody has thiers in black. But I will definatley make up my mind once I see the phones side by side (not the dummy ones) just want some advice. Also, I will probably change the housing (only the bezel and battery cover and maybe even put celliphane under the keyboard to make the light look blue) and I will also prevent the leaning trackpad problem. White goes with more, but I AM SO LOST. HELP. If you give a simple explination I will choose you as best answer. Thanks

Hmm, choices choices.

I honestly think you should decide once you see a side by side IRL comparison, but I will give my input anyway.

Coming fro about 5 Blackberry's(Black) I can tell you black is NOT always the way to go. They are notorious for finger prints, smudges - scratches and lint. Also - if you have alot of facial grease, the outcome after a call on the buttons/bezel isn't too pretty.

I agree on the myth of "White gets dirtier" In fact, the color they use(kind of a bright pearl) is made of some sort of coating(applies ot back) that it actually holds very well to debris and such. I have yet to see any BB(or other) white phone discolor in the manner of Pee-yellow(LOL) or any of the like.

I think of you are considering swapping the housing, going white may be an easier transition and will illuminate the light blue moreso than the Black.
(yes, leaning trackpad problem sucks.. RIM needs more control on their lines - aka, Tour Trackball, Storm 1 click problems.. )

And just a heads up(dont smack me on this, LOL) but if you can Blackberry will eventually have a 9780(?) I believe which will have a beefed camera of 5.0 MP, higher RAM etc for running Operating 6.0. Same with the Torch 9800..

Either way all devices are good..
